It’s after Labor Day and New York Fashion Week is in full swing so that must mean one thing: it’s (technically) fall.  Even though it’s still quite warm, fall weather is on the approach, so I am putting together some items I want and maybe even need this season.  Mostly ‘need,’  obviously.

From left to right, top to bottom:

Theory Kaion Dress:  I have been eyeing this dress for sometime now but it never seemed just right for summer, so I am finally thinking it’s time to purchase it and also suggest it to my readers!  As I have said before, I love Theory pieces for their classic silhouettes and this drop waist dress with tweed fits into that category, but has a bit of an edge.  Great look to go from the office to dinner and will pair well with tights when it starts to get too cold.

J. Crew Leather Sleeve Top: This top is adorable.  Pair it with a white high-waisted skirt or keep it casual with denim: I think it will make any outfit look chic.  The use of mixed media (leather and cotton) keeps this outfit fresh.  Leather tops are quite trendy right now and this is a twist on that look.

Gold Collar Necklace:  I love this necklace!  Its’ gold color will make any outfit pop and you can wear it with a crew neck top and it will serve as the collar!  (Also it’s a great deal on Shopbop right now!)

Rag and Bone Coated Denim:  I’ve been thinking about this a lot: these pants are a fall staple.  They are coated so they give the illusion of leather but are less than half the cost!  They give your average denim an edge and dress them up a bit.

Chloé “Tan Marcie” Satchel:  This bag is beautiful, simple, and chic.  It is on the pricer side so if you can’t afford this bag get a similar one: see some options here & here. Either way it’s the silhouette and style I’m more concerned with.  A simple shoulder satchel for fall is all you need.

Joie “Dalton” Booties:  Booties have long been a fall “go-to” shoe of choice and everyone has their own style when it comes to booties, but I want to highly recommend Joie’s version of the bootie because they are comfortable, hit the leg at the perfect spot and they come in more than this color: maroon and black (also great fall colors).
