Classic Black Dress
You cannot got wrong when wearing a classic black dress. A you all know, I am a huge Self Portrait fan and this dress hits all the marks. (Every stylist is putting their celebrity clients in a Self Portrait dress: see Bethenny Frankel on Late Night with Seth Meyers and Lucy Hale on Kelly and Michael.) This classic black dress seems to contain all the style elements you need for drama: a lace appliqué, netting, a chiffon neckline. These dresses are perfectly sculpted in their intricacies and uniqueness and there is a good reason they are the toast of the town.
Since everyone was doing it (aka wearing a Self Portrait Dress) I thought I’d take a stab at the brand and style one of their all black versions (and it’s on sale–see below!) This dress is one of the fancier pieces I’ve worn recently and it was a lot of fun to feel very fresh and glamorous. I’ve been binge watching Downton Abbey recently (finally caught up to the last season!) and this dress actually reminds me a lot of the fashions on the show. The mid length of the dress and it’s sheer netting above the chest area with a delicate neckline, is very reminiscent of the styles on the show.
In any case, if you have an event to attend that calls for a black tie dress code you should for sure try a Self Portrait dress as you’ll undoubtedly look sleek, stylish, and on trend!
